Four yoga poses to cool the body in high temperatures: "Reduces the feeling of heat"

We're in the hottest season of the year, and sometimes even a fan, air conditioning, and running water aren't enough to cool us off. But yoga can help reduce the feeling of heat.
This is what yoga and wellness expert Xuan Lan maintains, who has shared a video on her Instagram account in which she demonstrates some postures that, according to her, can help reduce body temperature.
It's called 'Yin Yoga': "This practice allows the body to cool down and calm itself, especially in summer," says Lan, who adds that it also helps relieve hot flashes during menopause.
These are the positions that Xuan Lan proposes:
- Balasana : You should sit on your knees and rest your chest on a cushion placed in front of you, turning your head to one side to promote relaxation.
- Paschimottanasana: In a seated position, stretch your legs out in front of you and rest your torso on a raised cushion, promoting back stretching.
- Viparita Karani: Lie on your back and raise your legs 90 degrees on a cushion or chair, keeping your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Setu Bandhasana: Lie on your back, place blocks or books under your buttocks, and extend your arms away from your body to gently open your chest.
Additionally, the expert recommends other practices such as staying hydrated regularly; avoiding going out or exercising during the hottest hours; wearing light, loose, and breathable clothing; wearing a cap or hat and walking in the shade; and taking care of vulnerable people and pets.
